Governor of Kaduna State, Alhaji (Dr.) Mukhtar Ramalan Yero, has felicitated with the Emir of Kano, Alhaji (Dr) Ado Bayero, on his attainment of 50 years on the throne.
Yero in a statement signed on his behalf by his Director General, Media & Publicity, Ahmed Maiyaki, congratulated the revered monarch, observing that during the half a century reign of the Emir, Kano Emirate has witnessed tremendous growth in terms of human and physical infrastructure development.
He said the Emir has in the past 50 years led the people of Kano and indeed other parts of the North to achieve greater heights in education, commerce, agriculture, investments and in all spheres of human endeavor.
“Under your able leadership, Kano today ranks as one of the most important trade centers not only in Nigeria but the entire West Africa sub-region and indeed beyond,” Governor Yero said.
He also eulogised the personal attributes of the Emir, describing him as “a man of uncommon integrity and an epitome of humility.”
According to Yero, “The San Kano has over the years won the hearts of many Nigerians by his unique love and concern for the common good of the people. His charisma has shifted the human boundary of his subjects beyond the physical borders of Kano. Many across Africa see the Emir of Kano as a leader; loved and revered by all. He is undoubtedly God fearing making him a man deeply cherished by people of all social status.”
“As we look back those past five decades, our prayers at the moment is that Allah (SWT) should grant His Royal Highness good health and wisdom to continue to provide us with his purposeful leadership formany more years to come,” Gov Yero prayed.
The governor also extends felicitation to the Government of Kano State, the Kano Emirate Council and the entire people of Kano State over this historic event.
