The husband of Nollywood star Omotola Jalade-Ekeinde a.k.a Omo Sexy has been linked to the private jet found at a petrol station in Nigeria’s former capital, Lagos, this morning.

The presence of the aircraft at Dapsey filling station along the Lagos State University (LASU) - Iba Road close to Igando had caused panic but Managing Director/Chief Executive of the Nigerian Airspace Management Agency (NAMA), Engr. Mazi Nnamdi Udoh, this afternoon disclosed that the last person associated with the aircraft is one Captain M. J. Ekehinde.

According to Udoh, the American registered aircraft marked N972TF “is actually a junk one belonging to Late Apostle Gabriel Oduyemi of Bethel Ministries and had long been parked at a NAMA facility up till Wednesday night when it was eventually removed.

“The aircraft was actually released to Captain M. J. Ekehinde who will be using it for educational purposes in Badagry, Lagos. A cross section of the wings was removed to ease transportation to its new location.”

Investigations by News Express showed that Omotola’s husband is the only pilot in Nigeria known as Captain Matthew Ekeinde, whose surname was however written as Ekehinde by the NAMA MD/CEO.

A veteran pilot, Captain Ekeinde lost his job when Air Nigeria was closed down early last September by the core investor, Barrister Jimoh Ibrahim. It is not yet known how he came to abandon the plane at the petrol station after getting NAMA’s approval to take it away for his educational project.

Captain Ekeinde and Omo Sexy have been married for 16 years. The couple later held a white ceremony on board a Dash 7 aircraft while flying from Lagos to Benin in 2001, with close family and friends present. The marriage is blessed with four children, namely, Princess, M.J, Meriaih and Michael.
