The Lagos State chapter of the Actors Guild of Nigeria (AGN) has rolled out drums and cymbals for her Grand Annual Actors Night, billed to happen big tomorrow evening at the Ojez’s Celebrity Hangout at the National Stadium Complex, Surulere, Lagos.                                              

It is a vibrant social radar, initiated in 2003 by the celebrated comedian, Okey Bakkassi, with the full moral support of the CEO of Ojez, Chief Joseph Odobetu who had since been playing that patriotic role meant to ginger the arts spirit of the organizers.            

In an exclusive close-up on the Lagos State Chairman of the Guild, Emeka Rising Ibeh, he maintained that it was necessary to create a social forum where the celebrated actors can frolic with the younger ones, thereby inspiring them.                                     

“Hon. Desmond Elliot and Okey Bakkassi would be on the dais this week as our Special Guests of Honour. Both of them have made us proud over the years. Bakkassi was once the SSA on Entertainment to the former Imo State Governor, Ikedi Ohakim, while Desmond Elliot is serving his second term in the Lagos State House of Assembly (LSHA), representing Surulere Constituency 1,” Ibeh explained.
