Lies no doubt are quiet kinder than truth and hence five Nollywood celebrities were alleged to have told them in the past, thereby saving their hard earned reputation which may have been threatened, had it been they failed to have lied then. On parade in this edition are Susan Patrick, Grace Amah, Obot Etuk, Shan George and Bulky Wright. We would showcase them one after the other with their alleged lies.Welcome!
SUSAN PATRICK
When the missing-in-action celebrity came into Nollywood years back, there were two particular impressions about her then. First was the strong impression that she attended the prestigious University of Calabar (UNICAL) and secondly, that she was yet to have any baby for any guy. Those were her unfounded gists which time phenomenon burst quickly as busy bodies started their gossip games, revealing in the course of time that she did not actually spend more than two years in the Calabar Polytechnic and, as a result, was awarded an Ordinary National Diploma (OND) at the end of the day. The other impression that she had no baby for anybody, too, just turned out to be another lie when it became a public knowledge that Susan actually had a baby for a guy who used to stay then in Yaba area of Lagos.
GRACE AMAH
This pretty looking and diminutive actress initially gave the impression that she was a law undergraduate in University of Ibadan (UNIBADAN). However, the cat was finally let out of the bag, exposing her claim as a mere wish. Well, years after, she went to University of Lagos (UNILAG) where she read theatre arts and graduated.
OBOT ETUK
From the onset, controversies tailed her entrance into Nollywood. That clause alone fetched her undue attention in the industry. The first alleged lie to rock her was her being in the Police Force before joining Nollywood. The second according to feelers close to her then, was the claim that she was a P.A to the First Lady of Akwa Ibom State. However, when the chips were down, this last lie became very expedient and shameful.
SHAN GEORGE
This highly controversial celebrity was already notorious before now, swimming in controversies comfortably. So when her romance with top comedian, Okey Bakassi, came into the fore, many strongly felt that their union would lead them to the altar, but it was not so as it fell like badly arranged cards. As a result, she was alleged to have quickly claimed that their relationship had since hit the rock and for this reason, she is now into a new relationship, justifying her break up with him without ending their love affair formally. That was all that forced guys to conclude that she was not actually serious.
BULKY WRIGHT
The case of this fine cross-over actress zoomed into the picture when she claimed that she was not married formally to top showbiz journalist/promoter, Femi Davies, years after their traditional marriage which many strongly believe is more recognized in most parts of Nigeria than the Oyinbo one. Imagine such cheap folly and lie too of Bukky Wright!
