Actress Ruth Kadiri and Ekiti chef, Damilola Adeparusi
Nollywood actress and producer, Ruth Kadiri, has reacted to the news of an Ekiti chef, Damilola Adeparusis, attempt at breaking Hilda Bacis unofficial 100-hour cook-a-thon record.
News surfaced a few hours ago that Chef Dami is set to break Hildas record. Chef Dami began a 120-hour cooking marathon in Oye Local Government Area in Ekiti State on Friday.
In May, Hilda made headlines by breaking the record for the longest cooking category of the Guinness World Record.
Chef Damis attempt at beating Hildas record has since gotten much talk, with most slamming the Ekiti chef for her lack of emotional intelligence and originality.
Kadiri has also joined netizens dragging the chef stating that she should have at least allowed Hilda to enjoy her win for a while before attempting to break.
In a now-deleted post, the mother of two wrote:
They wont think for themselves, but the moment you do it, everyone starts realising they can do it too. They cant even wait for her euphoria to settle.
Meet Nigerians, my people.
Hilda Effiong Bassey, fondly known as Hilda Baci, broke the Guinness World Record for the longest cooking time in May. She beat Indian Chef Lata Tondons record of 87 hours, 45 minutes, and 00 seconds to emerge as the new record holder. (Saturday PUNCH)
