Celebrated actress, Chioma Akpotha, who escaped death twice by the whiskers during both the Presidential and Gubernatorial elections in the Lekki area of Lagos State, when the dreaded Area Boys were poised to help their candidates rig elections, recently came face-to-face with them once more on set in a pretty volatile atmosphere in Isale Eko area of Lagos state.

Showbiz Xtra scooped that the pretty actress who played the role of the mother of one of the gang boys, Ifeanyi, disclosed that the Area Boys were initially hostile to the packagers of the “Gang of Lagos”, before they started to shoot.

Their initial hostility was said to have emanated from the traditional “Omo-Onile” mentality. It continued for almost two months before the movie packagers employed sheer diplomacy to pacify the boys who incidentally embraced their magicgesture, applauding it by simmering down and reconciling with the packagers.

“That was the beginning of the expected love lost between us and the Area Boys who said openly that you people have shown the expected love at last. This is what you people are supposed to have done at the beginning. As a result of this, they immediately changed their countenance towards us by warming up and becoming more understanding and loving. This new beginning eventually encouraged us to give some of them roles and also paid them well too. That was how we reconciled with them before we left,” Akpotha informed.
