The mere mention of their names on the beats scene rings a loud bell. They are women of valour, substance and immesurable influence in the society, especially in the showcase circle. Now, welcome Yeni Kuti, Ayo Balogun, Salawa Abeni, Onyeka Onwenu, and Chief (Mrs) keji Okunowo. Enjoy it!

YENI KUTI

A marverick dancer and choreographer. She naturally looks like a silver spoon raised lady and actually she was as the first daughter of late Afro- beat music initiator and legend, Fela Anikulapo-kuti. She added panache to his younger brother's band as his former lead dancer. Aside from this, she manages the New Afrikan Shrine. Today, the loquacious and bold lady is strongly believed to be doing all humanly possible to dust up the image of shrine.

AYO BALOGUN

This celebrated JuJu act who was the former leader of JuJu Band Leaders Association (JUBA) is simply a woman of substance in the showcase circle with over bearing influence within the rank and file of PMAN back in those days.Her fans base is believed to cut across Africa, Europe and United States of America. Her regular travels, undoubtedly finds explaination in this update.

SALAWA ABENI

Till date, she is the sole promoter of waka music at home and abroad, and as a result, have been enjoying all the patronage too. Her fame interestingly, is yet to wane since the eighties when she took the beats scene by storm and has been savoring all the goodies as somebody without any visible challenge of her choice area of music. A close feeler postulated that the main reason this is so, has to do with the fact that she cares about her fans whom she has been keeping close and regular contact with till date.

ONYEKA ONWENU

This female pop act, who really made impact in the eighties, is undoubtedly a veteran. She could be described as an entertainer of the last century, now in this century and working assiduously towards the next one. If you call her never say die female act, you will be right. Till date her hit releases like "One Love", "You and I" and "Iyi-Ogogo" all in the mid eighties, still blow minds with nostalgia anytime fans hears them. It is on good source that her impact fetched her the attention and subsequent appointment by her home government who appointed her as Chairlady, Imo Stare Council of Arts and Culture.

KEJI OKUNOWO

This pretty woman till date is seen as the most accomplished administrator in the music concern. Her administration of Sony Music company for years can't be easily thrown into the trash can because of her effective and enviable style of governance which no doubt made acts on her stable to enjoy themselves throughout their stay, thereby pulling others acts to the company. Hence, the company enjoyed the greatest number of top acts like Sir Shina Peters(SSS), Mike Okri, Late Majek Fasek on their stable for years.
