As the much talked-about Gubernatorial and State House of Assembly elections holds tomorrow, Showbiz Xtra parades seven Nollywoodcelebrities, who have been backing the Lagos State governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, and his Deputy, for a second term in office. The seven Nollywood celebs are: Joke Silver, Eniola Badmus, Toyin Abraham, Olaiya Igwe, Mercy Johnson-Okojie, Fathia Williams and Jide Kosoko.
JOKE SILVER
This veteran and top actress has stepped out openly to embrace the Lagos State Number One citizen, Mr Babajide Sanwo-Olu and his Deputy, Obafemi Hamzat, seeking a re-election for a second term in office. The actress who appears to have been convinced that they deserve a return, kept telling anybody who cares to vote for them because they have done a lot to merit it.
ENIOLA BADMUS
The Nollywood big girl, according to how Reporters address her, has been busy going about advertising the goodies both Sanwo-Olu and his Deputy have splashed on Lagosians and everybody who resides in the state. For these reasons, the duo of Sanwo-Olu and his deputy merit everybody’svote because, according to her, one good turn deserves another.
TOYIN ABRAHAM
This crossover actress who have never hidden her love for Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, his party, Sanwo-Olu and his deputy, grabbed this golden chance to identify boldly with the Lagos State Governor and his deputy who have been trying hard to return to power for their second term to complete the expected eight-year tenure. Expectedly, she tabled all their laudable projects which, she maintained, were enough yard stick to return them to power through the ballot box.
OLAIYA IGWE
This fine role interpreter and veteran of many years, is still remembering the timely intervention of Remi Tinubu when he came face-to-face with death. Remi’s kind gesture has made him to resolve for life that whatever the Senator wife of Tinubu stands for, he also will. And since Remi stands for Babajide Sanwo-Olu and his deputy, he too has no choice than to support both with all he has in life.
MERCY JOHNSON-OKOJIE
Like Olaiya Igwe, she too has a stake in the survival and progress of All Progressive Party (APC), since her husband is a staunch member and beneficiary. For this reason, she has no reason not to back Sanwo-Olu and Hamzat for a return ticket for another four-year term. Hence, she is simply doing all humanlypossibleto return them to power tomorrow.
FATHIA WILLIAMS
This crossover actress who was once marriedto Saidi Balogun, appearsto be naturally in lovewith the Yorubas. This she may have demonstrated through her love for APC as a party and Governor Sanwo-Olu and his Deputy,Hamzat. No wonder she is always spotted anywhere APC campaign is held, especially the gubernatorial ones.
JIDE KOSOKO
Showbiz Xtra never knew that Jide Kodoko is such a big fan of Sanwo-Olu and his deputy until we saw him talking about them and their achievements in Lagos State as he reeled out Sanwo-Olu’s success scorecard, insisting that this qualifies the Governor and his deputy to return to the seat of power. His strong reason has to do with the need for them to completethe mega city projects which they havestarted, in line with the spirit of fairness. That's why he is calling on people to vote en masse for Sanwo-Olu tomorrow.
