The Nigeria Women Football League (NWFL) has announced a two-week break for its Premiership competition ahead of the forthcoming general elections.
The league body disclosed this in a statement via the league’s twitter handle on Friday.
“The NWFL wishes to announce a two-week break after the NWFL Premiership Match Day 9 due to the presidential and governorship elections holding across the country.
“For this, Match Day 10 and 11 will now hold on March 1 and March 15 respectively,” it said.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that a total of 14 clubs, grouped into two, are currently participating in the league. (NAN)
