Runaway Jos lion gunned down

If you are in Jos, the Plateau State capital, or environs, you may now breathe down. Reason: The lion which escaped from the Jos Wild Life Park at about 8 a.m. has been shot dead.

As earlier published by News Express, the 43-year-oldlion, which had been caged since 1972, slipped through the gate of the cage when it was opened for its routine feeding and escaped.

The development had sparked panic, with the management of Jos Wild Life Park sending a distress mesage to all security agencies in the state.
