The Kaduna State Government has announced the fares and contact numbers for hiring the cabs under the newly introduced cab scheme.
A statement issued in Kaduna by Samuel Aruwan, Special Assistant, Media and Publicity to Governor Nasir El-Rufai, said that two companies are currently running the Kaduna Cabs Scheme: KIA and Peugeot Automobile Nigeria (PAN). He said that KIA Motors is participating through one its dealers, Wheels Plus Nigeria Limited. The company is located on Ali Akilu Road, by Lugard Hall Roundabout, Kaduna.
Aruwan also announced that PAN is participating through one of its dealers, Car Craft Workshop, located at KM 2 Kaduna-Zaria Road, Rigachikun, Kaduna.
He gave the fares as follows:
One Hour = N2,000
Two Hours = N4,000
Three Hours = N5,000
Kaduna City to Kaduna Airport = N5,000
Kaduna to Abuja = N15,000
Kaduna to Kano N15,000
Aruwan said that short distance pick-up and drop-off within Kaduna city may range from N200 to N1,000.
He said that people can effect payments for service rendered through cash and with ATM cards, disclosing that the State Government is presently working on extending coverage of the scheme to two other major towns in the state, Zaria and Kafanchan.
The Kaduna Cabs Scheme was launched on the November 11, 2015 by the the leader of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
