Anambra Governor, Chief Willie Obiano, has re-emphasised the need for indigenes of the state in the Diaspora to embrace the think home philosophy in order to fast-track the development of the state.
He made the plea yesterday during the commissioning of Obi-Jackson Children’s Hospital in Okija, Ihiala Local Government Area.
The governor while commissioning the hospital extolled the benefactor, Mr Azudialo Obiejesi, for towing the path of philanthropy to alleviate the plight of the poor.
Obiano also commended Obiejesi’s love for the community, saying that such was the main force behind his philanthropism drive.
He further noted that the status of the hospital is in line with what the State Government plans for the health sector, adding that his administration is partnering private health institutions to improve the 37general hospitals in the state.
Earlier in his address, Mr. Obiejesi pointed out that time has come for Nigerians, especially Anambra indigenes, to start accessing quality health care from within the state rather than sourcing for such outside the country.
He maintained that the hospital, which is well equipped with modern health facilities, will provide children of the community and state at large with good medical care.
