The Arewa Youth Parliament has commended the Inspector-General of Police, IGP Solomon E. Arase, for his reform initiatives which, according to the group, have led to the reduction of crime in the country.
Speaker, Arewa Youth Parliament, Dr. Bashir Mohammed Maru, gave the commendation yesterday when the group paid a courtesy visit on the IGP at Force Headquarters, Abuja.
He also thanked the IGP for establishing the Complaint Response Unit (CRU) and commended President Mohammadu Buhari for his decision to work with IGP Arase.
In his response, IGP Arase thanked the Arewa Youth Parliament for the visit and called for its assistance in the establishment of a Police Youth Forum to help improve police intelligence capability to enhance better communication between the police and citizens.
The IGP re-assured Arewa youths and other youths of the country that he remains committed to the service of his fatherland at all times.
