The Lagos State Agricultural Input Supply Authority (LAISA) is to establish more farm centres in rural areas of the state in line with Governor Akinwumi Ambode’s vision of improved agricultural practice as well as boost accessibility to farm produce by Lagosians.
Speaking during an interactive forum with the staff of the Agency, the Special Adviser to the Governor on Food Security, Mr. Ganiyu Sanni, stated that the move will enhance prompt service delivery and increase the reach of farmers within the State, especially in Itoikin and Epe areas of the state.
He stated that improved service delivery starts with total commitment to duties with a strong desire of not only meeting the needs of the identified farmers, but also to maintain the symbiotic relationship between them.
Mr. Sanni urged all staff to committed and dedicated in carrying out their duties with an uncompromising innovative service.
Earlier, General Manager of the agency, Mr. Bolaji Balogun, remarked that effective service delivery system is essential and that individuals with impressive records of service would be adequately rewarded.
He promised to ensure continuous improvement by the agency in line with the present administration’s agenda on improved agriculture methods across the state.
LAISA, according to Mr. Balogun, will always stand for what it is known for in the fields of agricultural supplies with added value of commendable charge, while it will also improve on its services by ensuring supply of equipment and quality farm produce to every part of the state for enhanced service delivery.
