The Flying Eagles of Nigeria

Nigeria’s U-20 national team, the Flying Eagles, have been drawn to face host Egypt, Senegal and Mozambique in Group A of the 2023 CAF U-20 Cup of Nations (AFCON).
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the colourful draw was held on Friday in Cairo.
The Flying Eagles who are seven-time champions at this level will prosecute their group stage matches in Cairo.
In Group B Uganda, Central African Republic, South Sudan and Congo will slug it out in Ismaila.
While Gambia, Tunisia, Benin Republic and Zambia will battle for supremacy in Group C in Alexandria.
The Ladan Bosso tutored boys who qualified as champions of WAFU B zone will open their campaign at the tournament against Senegal.
NAN reports that the top two teams in each group and two third best losers will advance to the quarter-finals.
The four semifinalists will qualify for the 2023 FIFA U-20 World Cup in Indonesia slated for May 20 to June.
The 2023 U-20 AFCON will hold from Feb.18 to March 12 in Egypt. (NAN)
