Frankfurt, Tottenham win final group matches of Champions League to advance to last 16

Eintracht Frankfurt and Tottenham Hotspur won their final group matches of the UEFA Champions League on Tuesday to advance to the last 16.

Eintracht Frankfurt tasted a 2-1 away victory over Sporting CP at Lisbon's Estadio Jose Alvalade as two goals came from Daichi Kamada (penalty goal) and Randal Kolo Muani in the second half.

The Portuguese side's only goal was scored by Arthur Gomes in the 39th minute.

In another Group D clash, Tottenham Hotspur defeated Olympique Marseille 2-1 with a stoppage-time goal from Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg at the Stade de Marseille.

The French side broke the deadlock when Chancel Mbemba produced a goal in the 45th minute while the English club leveled the game with Clement Lenglet in the 54th minute.

Tottenham Hotspur finished Group D at the top, collecting 11 points, while Eintracht Frankfurt are second with 10 points.

Having seven points, Sporting CP finished third and dropped into the Europa League playoffs, one point ahead of fourth-placed Olympique Marseille.

Napoli, Liverpool, Porto, Club Brugge, Bayern Munich, Inter Milan, Tottenham Hotspur and Eintracht Frankfurt qualified for the Champions League last 16.

Sporting CP, Barcelona, Bayer Leverkusen and Ajax dropped into the Europa League playoffs.

Porto - Atletico Madrid: 2-1

Bayer Leverkusen - Club Brugge: 0-0

Liverpool - Napoli: 2-0

Rangers - Ajax: 1-3

Bayern Munich - Inter Milan: 2-0

Viktoria Plzen FK - Barcelona: 2-4

Sporting Lisbon - Eintracht Frankfurt: 1-2

Olympique Marseille - Tottenham Hotspur: 1-2
