Upcoming music star Davido (real name David Adeleke) has done it again. The MTN Pulse Ambassador who is getting famous for his hot temper slapped a journalist for daring to ask him a question he did not like.
Seasoned entertainment writer Isaac Dachen who witnessed the show of shame said that Davido “slapped a female journalist colleague at an event for daring to ask him about his Ghana sex scandal. His people begged us not to report the story but the brat did not even apologize.”
The incident took place in Lagos but Dachen did not reveal the identity of the assaulted journalist.
Transport & Business Express reports that the revelation came just two days after the news broke of how Davido and his bodyguards allegedly beat up his girlfriend named Susie and a taxi driver at the premises of a hotel in Victoria Island, Lagos. Davido, who prides himself as “Omo Baba Olowo” (Rich Man’s Son) is reported to have also seized the car of taxi driver Femi Ajibola while he was attempting to drive the girl to safety. Trouble was said to have started when Susie allegedly saw Davido with another girl when she entered the hotel room.
Davido’s publicist, Valerie Obaze, is quoted to have said about the July 1 incident that was kept secret until two days ago: “Davido has no knowledge of any incident involving the assault of a taxi driver or the illegal seizure of his car. He does not condone violence of any sort and will not be commenting on this untrue allegation.”
Born in Atlanta, Georgia, USA, but raised in Lagos, Nigeria, the 19 years old Davido is the son of billionaire businessman Deji Adeleke, chairman of Pacific Holdings and Founder/Pro-Chancellor of Adeleke University, Ede, Osun State. The Afropop crooner came to the limelight late last year with two hit singles, Back When and Damiduro.
