Ex-Governor Idris

Acting Chairman of new Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Board of Trustees (BoT), Senator Adolphus Wabara, has nominated a former Kogi State Governor, Alhaji Ibrahim Idris, as the representative of the North Central in the drive by the PDP’s advisory body to reconcile aggrieved members of the party across the country.
Wabara nominated one person each from the six geo-political zones in Nigeria to carry out the onerous reconciliation assignment.
Aside reconciliation of aggrieved party top notch and members alike, the new committee is expected to visit all PDP governors across the country on similar assignment.
The Acting BOT Chairman who is from Abia State commenced his assignment from his home state on Wednesday, with a visit to Abia state Governor, Okezie Ikpeazu.
The special reconciliation committee is also billed to visit Enugu, Rivers, Benue, Oyo andAkwa Ibom states.
The former Kogi Governor, who is a member of the PDP’s BoT, was also a member of the PDP National Zoning Committee charged with both zoning of elective and appointive positions in the party.
He has also served on special committees of the party at different times in recent times.
The reconciliation exercise is to ensure that PDP goes into the 2023 general elections with a united, formidable house in order to win the forthcoming elections
