Factional National Chairman of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), Chief Victor Umeh, has said that he is open to reconciliation with the Anambra State Governor, Mr. Peter Obi, to end the crisis rocking the party in the interest of the continuing survival of APGA.
Umeh spoke yesterday after a hearing on a case on the APGA crisis at the Federal High Court, Awka. He advised the governor to stop listening to bad advice, saying that Obi’s alleged involvement in fomenting crisis in the party was the greatest problem facing APGA.
Hear Umeh:“The governor should stop listening to bad advice. He should talk to me on phone so that we can talk like brothers and end this crisis in the interest of our party. We have suffered to establishthis party and it will be wrong for us to watch and see this party destroyed by strangers.”
He stressed that the Court of Appeal injunction that reinstated him as the National Chairman of the party had given APGA a direction, adding that any further litigation on the same issue adjudicated upon by the Court of Appeal would simply amount to abuse of court process.
