A South East group, All Igbo Youths For Atiku Abubakar Campaign Support Group, has declared their support for the Presidential Candidate of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, in the 2023 general elections.

The members of the group who turned out in their large numbers from all works of life and across the South East states, local governments and political wards for the gathering in Enugu at the weekend.

Highpoint of the event was the inauguration of the states and local government areas (LGAs) Coordinators for the five South Eastern States of the country.

Others at the event were representatives from Kebbi and Rivers states, as well as market women and the Hausa Communities who came to show their solidarity.

In their separate speeches, the Convener of the All Igbo Youths for Atiku Abubakar, Ukpai Emma Ukpai, and the National Secretary of the Group, Ifeanyi Umere, described the event as historic and called on the youths and other stakeholders to work as a team to ensure the enthronement of Atiku Abubakar as the next president of Nigeria in 2023.

They also charged all the Coordinators at both the State and Local Government levels to mount effective campaigns for the PDP Presidential candidate, Atiku at the grassroots.

In their goodwill messages, the Speakers described Atiku Abubakar as the only presidential candidate that has what was required to get Nigeria out of the current economic and security challenges of the country.

Other Highlight of the programme was the issuance of certificates to the newly inaugurated Coordinators.

The colourful political event had “Building Sustainable Bridge for National Unity with His Excellency Atiku Abubakar” as its theme.
