Vice president Yemi Osinbajo
The Vice President of Nigeria, Prof Yemi Osinbajo (SAN), would lead governors of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and party chieftains to the grand finale campaign for the reelection of Governor Adegboyega Oyetola of Osun State, Tuesday.
The campaign, according to a statement by the spokesperson of the grand rally reception committee and Commissioner for Information and Civic Orientation, Funke Egbemode, on Monday, would hold at Osogbo city stadium.
The rally would be attended by the party chieftains across the 36 states of the federation.
The committee assured that necessary logistics are in place to ensure hitch-free outing, saying that the rally is not just a gathering of the party faithful but also of lovers of democracy and good governance.
“Leaders and chieftains of the APC, including the Vice-President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Prof Yemi Osinbajo; members of the Central Committee; National Campaign Council; APC Governors and other national and regional structures of the party are expected at the rally in support of Adegboyega Oyetola, the party’s candidate in the Osun governorship election.
“We trust that members of the APC will show the formidable strength and decorum the party is known for, even as we implore all residents and citizens of Osun to come out en-masse and in public acclamation of their overwhelming support for the APC candidate,” the statement added. (Daily Sun)
