Did All Progressives Congress (APC) Vice Presidential Candidate for the 2023 elections, Senator Kashim Shettima, meet with United States President Joe Biden?
This is suggested by a photo made available to News Express by Shettima’s camp. The photo (reproduced above) shows Senator Shettima and a person that appears to be President Biden exchanging pleasantries.
Efforts by News Express to know the venue and date of the meeting, as well as what both men discussed, did not immediately yield fruit. Shettima’s camp did not also provide proof that the photo was not photoshopped as suggested by News Express after critical analysis.
Shettima, an influential former governor of Borno State and one-time National Chairman of the main opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), was yesterday, Sunday, July 10, 2022, unveiled by APC Presidential Candidate, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, as his running mate for next year’s ballot.
The choice has elicited mixed reactions as both men are Muslims – contrary to expectations that the ruling party would field a Muslim-Christian ticket to reflect Nigeria’s religious realities.
