The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has unveiled the names of Ebonyi State Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) House of Representatives and Senatorial candidates for the 2023 general elections.
This was contained in a release statement made available to journalists on Tuesday, signed by the Director of Media and Publicity, Anyichuks Campaign Organisation, Chief Abia Onyike.
The successful candidates are from the line-up of the PDP governorship candidate in the state, Dr. Ifeanyi Chukwuma Odii, who emerged with them in the party’s primaries conducted on of May 28 and 29, 2022.
Their primary election was the one monitored by INEC and was adopted by the National Working Committee (NWC) of the PDP as the authentic PDP primary election in the state.
The Federal High Court had nullified the factional primary election of June 4 and 5, 2022 organised by Sen. Obinna Ogba which INEC did not monitor.
The PDP National Assembly (Senate) candidates for Ebonyi State as released by INEC for the 2023 General Elections are Hon. Lazarus Nweru Ogbe (Ebonyi Central Senatorial District), Sen. Dr. Samuel Ominyi Egwu (Ebonyi North Senatorial District) and Sen. Michael Ama Nnachi (Ebonyi South Senatorial District).
The Ebonyi State PDP candidates for the House of Representatives are Hon. Victor Umoke Aleke (Ebonyi/Ohaukwu Federal Constituency, Mr Barnabas Chukwuma Ofoke (Abakaliki/ Izzi Federal Constituency, Mr Johnson Obinna Nwachukwu (Ezza North/Ishielu Federal Constituency, Mr Vitalis Ogbonna Nwanne (Ezza South/Ikwo Federal Constituency, Hon. Jerry Okechukwu Obasi (Ohaozara/Onicha/Ivo Federal Constituency and Hon. Uduma Enwo Igariwey (Afikpo North/Afikpo South Federal Constituency).
