Airtel Nigeria has commissioned the first of several model Express Shops to enhance customer service delivery experience in Abuja, the Federal Capital Territory.

The opening of the model shop by the leading telecom services provider came barely 48 hours after the official commencement of Mobile Number Portability

It “indicates Airtel’s readiness to take customer service experience to a standard that is comparable to global standards,” said a statement on behalf of Airtel by the PR firm Blueflower.

“The latest Express Shop, which brings the total number of Airtel direct customer touch points to 100 across the country, will provide customers access to excellent customer experience and an array of products and services they need to stay connected including phones, SIM cards, SIM Porting, SIM Swap, bill payment, airtime top-up cards, query resolution, other accessories and general enquiries,” the statement further said.

Commissioning the ultra-modern shop, the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Airtel, Mr. Segun Ogunsanya, said it underlined the company’s commitment to providing first class service experience to customers in the unfolding promise of the newly introduced Mobile Number Portability.

He also described it as part of a drive to ensure that customers get the same first class experience in all Airtel outlets across the country both in company run outlets as well as those run by Channel Partners.

Said Ogunsanya: “We pleased with this opportunity to bring closer the Airtel experience and our unique value offerings to the door steps of our customers to experience unbeatable service that will optimise our rich range of unique offerings and services in data, voice, bill payment, query resolution and general enquiries.”

Also speaking at the ceremony, the Managing Director of Zeph Associates, Airtel trade partners who collaborated with the company on the Express Shop, Mr. Tochukwu Nwosu, affirmed the resolve of his firm to provide outstanding customer experience at the Express Shop in line with the brand values of Airtel.
