Congratulations to Asiwaju Ahmed Bola Tinubu, for his resilience. Anything is possible for him that believes. A rugged display of determination and courage, planning and working with people.
The Progressive Northern Governors, for their courage, loyalty, forthrightness and genuine commitment to truth and transparency. They stood to be counted at a time Nigeria needed men and women of truth. Unlike the Peoples Democratic Party, which saw nothing wrong in seeking to elect another leader from the North to succeed President Muhammadu Buhari.
To APC as a party, for providing a level playing field for votes to contend and count. The electoral process went on smoothly to the extent that winner and losers accepted it. INEC should take its lessons from this and not allow the same politicians who have successfully organized their presidential primary elections to tarnish the image of the Commission during the general elections.
To APC National Working Committee, for resisting the imposition and coup plot of the party Chairman, who would have thrown the whole process into crisis and confusion.
Professor Yemi Osinbajo, for his decency throughout the period, his commitment to a viable Nigeria and submitting to the will of majority members of his party.
To the people of Nigeria, especially the media and civil society organizations, who all kept vigil throughout the election period, to ensure a smooth process.
Things can work in Nigeria if our leaders truly desire it.
