Former Anambra State Governor, Mr. Peter Obi, is back in the 2023 presidential race two days after he stepped aside after resigning from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

Obi earlier today, Friday, May 27, 2022, joined the Labour Party of Nigeria and will rejoin the presidential race on its platform.

A tweet this afternoon from @Official_LPN said:

“As earlier reported, H.E Peter Obi Joins Labour Party of Nigeria,

@PeterObi registered as a member of the party on Friday in his ward in Anambra State.

“He is expected to pick the presidential form and contest the party’s presidential primary election next Tuesday.”
