Abai State Governor, Dr. Okezie Ikpeazu, this morning failed in his bid to get the Court of Appeal sitting in Owerri, capital of neighbouring Imo State, to over-rule the Abia State Governorship Election Tribunal on the procedures to adopt in the on-going legal tussle between Dr. Ikpeazu and his arch-rival, Dr. Alex Otti of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA).

Otti, who is challengimg the victory of Ikpeazu in the April 11, 2015 election, felt that Ikpeazu’s camp was employing delay tactics to frustrate his case and succeeded in getting the tribunal to rule that all motions be heard on the final day of judgment.

Dissatusfied with the ruling, Governor Ikpeazu headed for Appeal Court, Owerri, which, however, threw out his appeal minutes ago.
