Akwa Ibom Deputy Governor tasks staff on service delivery

Members of staff of Akwa Ibom State Deputy Governor’s Office have been charged to discharge their duties efficiently and creditably, to enhance service delivery for the overall development of the state.

The Deputy Governor, Mr. Moses Ekpo, who gave the advice himself, during a meeting with the staff at his lodge in Uyo, stated that “as workers within the corridors of power, it vested a lot of responsibilities on you for the delivery of much needed dividends of democracy to the people.”

Mr. Ekpo warned them to abhor truancy, but to be team players for greater productivity in the service and reward.

The deputy governor pointed out that, the office co-ordinates other government departments, hence staff of the office should “evolve a knack for diligent service”, as he assured them of good working relationship with all and sundry.

In her remarks at the occasion, the permanent secretary in the deputy governor’s office, Lady Sylvia Ekpo, assured him that the staff would put in their best and would not be found wanting in the discharge of their functions.
