Today’s Weather: NiMET predicts clouds, rains and thunderstorms

The Nigerian Meteorological Agency has alerted the public that “cloudy condition is expected with chances of localised rain over the south eastern part” (of the country) while “localised rains are expected to prevail over this region in the afternoon/evening period” today, Thursday, September 17.

Concerning the Inland Areas, “Rain showers are expected over the West and localised thunderstorms are not unlikely during the morning hours over the inland of southeast while chances of localised thunderstorms are expected over the region in the afternoon/evening period.”

On the central states, “Cloudy conditions are expected over the region with chances of localised rain over Taraba, Jigawa States and their environs in the morning, while localised thunderstorms are expected over the region in the afternoon/evening period.”

Concerning the Northern states, “Prospect of thunderstorms are expected over the region in the morning, with chances of localised thunderstorms over the region in the afternoon/evening period.”
