The new Commissioner of Police (CP), recently posted to Akwa Ibom State Police Command, Mr. Muritala Mari, has assumed duty at the headquarters of the state command, Ikot Akpan Abia, Uyo.
The new CP who arrived through the Ibom International Airport, Uyo, was received by the state Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) Galadanchi and escorted to the command’s headquarters where he inspected and saluted a guard of honour mounted by officers and men of the command.
Mani, a native of Katsina State, replaced Mr. Gabriel Achong, who retired from the Nigerian Police Force in Uyo, on July 31, 2015 after serving the mandatory 35 years in the force.
