PDP flags
The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) will on Tuesday hold its National Executive Committee (NEC) meeting.
This was announced by the party National Secretary, Sen. Samuel Anyanwu, on Thursday in Abuja.
It was gathered that the party leadership will at the meeting takes crucial decision ahead of the PDP presidential primary.
It will be recalled that the electoral act was just signed by President Muhammadu Buhari and the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), released the timetable for the 2023 elections.
From the INEC timetable, all political parties should be dispensed with their activities by June 2022.
Announcing the timetable, the National Chairman of INEC, Mahmood Yakubu had said that party primaries for the nomination of candidates for the forthcoming election will be between April 4 and June 3 this year.
The PDP, in its statement, said “All members of the National Executive Committee of our great party are invited to the 95th NEC meeting.”
The party enjoined all its members to be in attendance if the NEC meeting was scheduled for Tuesday.
Meanwhile, the national caucus of the party will holds its meeting on Monday in Abuja.
The announcement was also made known by the party National Secretary, Senator Anyanwu on Thursday.
