Kano pilots to get jobs in world-famous Emirates Airlines

Some of the 100 indigenes of Kano State, North-West Nigeria, currently undergoing training in piloting abroad will, upon graduation, be most likely be recruited by the world-famous Emirates Airlines.

Already, Kano State Gov. Rabi’u Musa Kwankwaso has travelled to Dubai, United Arab Emirates, to hold talks with Chairman and Chief Executive Emirates Airline & Group, His Highness Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum.

Kwankwaso “today paid a courtesy on His Highness Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum
Chairman and Chief Executive Emirates Airline & Group in Dubai to discuss ways of opening opportunies for both parties especially in the recruitment of some of the 100 Kano indigenes who are undergoing training in piloting in Mideast Aviation College, Jordan and the possibility of the airline to start coming to Kano within the shortest possible time,” said Baba Dantiye, Director of Press and Public Relations to the Kano State Government.

He did not however indicate if there has been any firm commitment from Emirates Airlines in this regard.

News Express reports that Emirates is regarded as one of the world’s best airlines and is well known for sponsoring big football clubs, among them English Premiership side Arsenal.
