Akwa Ibom State new Commissioner for Investment, Commerce and Industry, Barrister Emmanuel Enoidem has been elected the new Dean of Forum of Commissioners in the state.

Information and Communications Commissioner, Mr. Aniekan Umanah, announced this yesterday in Uyo, the state capital, shortly after a meeting where the leadership of the commissioners’ forum was constituted.

He stated that the new commissioner for Finance, Mr. Akan Okon, was elected as deputy dean, while the new Commissioner for Works, Akparawa Ephraim Inyangeyen, emerged as the secretary of the forum.

He also listed the Commissioner for Housing and Urban Renewal, Prince Enobong Uwah, elected as the Public Relations Officer (PRO), and Dr. Glory Edet, commissioner for Women Affairs and Social Welfare, now as the Treasurer.

In his acceptance remarks, the new forum’s dean, Barr. Enoidem, thanked his colleagues for the confidence reposed in him, pledging his readiness “to fulfill the noble ideas for which the Forum was established.”

According to the new dean, “the paramount objective of the forum is to harness ideas, cooperation and collaborate effectively in assisting Gov. Udom Gabriel Emmanuel, to achieve his laudable vision of sustaining superior performance and consolidation, anchored on his five-point agenda of wealth creation, economic and political inclusion, poverty alleviation, infrastructural consolidation/expansion, and job creation.”

He enjoined “all the well-meaning citizens and residents of Akwa Ibom State” to continue to support the administration of Governor Udom Emmanuel, and expressed confidence of the Forum to the capability and competence of the governor to deliver on his laudable blue prints, aimed at industrialising Akwa Ibom State.
