Isuikwuato-for-2023 Abia governorship agitator, Sir Dave Agwalla
The recently declared ambition of Senate Minority Leader Enyinnaya Abaribe to govern Abia State in 2023 will not materialise.
This is according to Sir Dave Agwalla, one of those spearheading the Isuikwuato District agitation for Abia governorship in 2023.
“The last time l checked, Sen. Abaribe was not from Isuikwuato District, but from the same LGA, Obingwa, & zone/bloc, Aba Division, with the incumbent governor, Dr. Okezie Ikpeazu. Where has that ever happened? What gives them the courage, if at all, to dare us?” Sir Agwalla said in a statement obtained by News Express.
According to the Port Harcourt-based businessman, “From whichever angle, direction or political permutations, apart from Orji Uzor Kalu’s distortion in 2007, A.B.I.A has followed the zoning formula or equity to the letter.”
Stressing that the ‘I’ in Abia stands for Isuikwuato, Sir Agwalla said: “No one should be allowed to take the relative, peace in Abia for granted or take the gentle approach to issues of 2023, by the people of Isuikwuato District as weakness.
“The rules of this game cannot change in the middle of a match or before the change of baton is completed.
“2023 is the turn of Isuikwuato District to produce the Governor of Abia State and nothing must be done to sabotage that.”
