Breaking  News: Customs boss throws in the towel

Comptroller General of the Nigeria Customs Service (NCS), Alhaji Abdullahi Diko Inde, has thrown in the towel, reports from Abuja said.

The circumstances surrounding his resignation were not clear as at the time of this report.

Reports said his letter of resignation addressed to President Muhammadu Buhari was dated August 3, 2015 and that in it he expressed his desire to proceed on voluntary retirement from tomorrow, August 18.

He thanked the President for the confidence and trust reposed on him since he (Buhari) was inaugurated on May 29 and pointed out that by August 18, he would be six years in office as the Comptroller-General of the NCS.

President Buhari has accepted the resignation, conveying his approval of Abdullahi’s request via a letter dated August 14, 2015. He thanked the out-going NCS boss for his services to the county in the last six years.
