The Regional Sales Manager, South-West, MTN Nigeria Communications Ltd, Mr. Ken Oseyenum on Sunday reaffirmed the firm’s commitment to support the Osun-Osogbo Festival.
Oseyenum told the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Lagos that the gesture was to identify with Osun people and to promote and protect the state’s cultural heritage and traditions.
“The state has one of the richest cultural heritages in the country that has given it some global recognition.
“Identifying and supporting such a festival will help in promoting MTN as a global brand.”
The manager said that MTN Nigeria had supported the festival for some years, adding that it would continue to support it due to the increase in the number of MTN subscribers.
“The number of subscribers increases yearly because each time the company displays its packages at the festival, it gets more users.
“MTN never regrets supporting the Osun-Osogbo festival because every year is a testimony.”
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the 2015 edition kicked-off on Aug. 11 and the grand finale will take place on Aug. 21.
Oseyenum said MTN had given out numerous gifts at the festival, to encourage more users to its network and to add more colour to the festival.
“There is also a raffle draw which enables visitors to identify with the brand.” (NAN)
