The National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS) on Saturday urged heads of tertiary institutions in Nigeria to adhere to the admission quota assigned to their various institutions.
This is contained in a statement issued to Journalists in Abuja by the Head of Public Relations of NANS, Mr. Nwankwo Ezekiel.
“We want the higher institutions to adhere strictly to the admissions quota agreed and assigned to the various schools.
“We will not relent in stampeding the defaulted institutions all in the interest of our members.”
The statement said students should be treated fairly by the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) and higher institutions of learning across the country.
It also condemned the delay in mobilising graduated students for the National Youth Service Corps scheme and their disqualification for not possessing JAMB registration number.
NANs in the statement, said that such delay was not in the interest of the students. (NAN)
