BREAKING NEWS: Borno Deputy Governor dies suddenly

The Deputy Governor of Borno State in Nigeria’s North-East, has died suddenly.

A noon news bulletin by Radio Continental FM, Lagos, said that Alhaji Zannah Umar Mustapha was on official assignment in Yola, capital of neighbouring Adamawa State, when he died this morning.

He reportedly died in his sleep at a Government House guest room and cardiac arrest is being suspected. The Borno State Government is yet to make a formal statement on the tragic incident.
