The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) has picked Katsina’s Karkanda Stadium and Abeokuta’s Moshood Abiola Stadium as the two venues for the 2015 Federation Cup men’s semi-final matches.
A statement on the NFF website on Thursday said the matches would be played on Wednesday.
Lobi Stars Football Club of Makurdi will engage five-time champions Rangers International FC of Enugu in Katsina in one of the two semi-final encounters.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that Nasarawa United FC of Lafia will take on Akwa United FC of Uyo in Abeokuta in the other encounter.
Rangers defeated El-Kanemi Warriors of Maiduguri 3-0 on Wednesday to advance to this stage, while Lobi Stars eliminated BJ Foundation of Benin 2-1 to qualify.
On their part, Akwa United shoved off Niger Tornadoes Feeders 4-3 on penalties after a 2-2 draw in regulation time, while Nasarawa United pipped FC IfeanyiUbah 1-0.
Meanwhile, in the women’s category of the competition, Kogi Confluence Queens, who sent packing Cup holders Rivers Angels in the quarter-finals, will tackle Bayelsa Queens at the Oleh Township Stadium.
Nasarawa Amazons of Lafia, who eliminated Osun Babes, will face Sunshine Queens of Akure at the Nnamdi Azikiwe Stadium in Enugu.
