Kano state Commissioner for Information Youths, Sports and Culture, Malam Muhammed Garba, has debunked speculations of strained relationship between Governor Abdullahi Ganduje and his predecessor, Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso.
The commissioner's reaction to the speculation is contained in a statement from the state's Ministry of Information, signed by its Public Relations Officer, Malam Aliyu Yusuf.
“The relationship between the two leaders is very cordial. Governor Ganduje has led a powerful delegation from Kano to attend a dinner organised in honour of Kwankwaso. This will not have happened if there was a conflict.”
The Commissioner, who is the immediate-past National President of the Nigeria Union of Journalist (NUJ), appealed to those spreading the unfounded speculation, to desist from doing so, in the interest of peace and political stability of the state. (NAN)
