Dr Stanley Okoroma, a human resources specialist, who gave the admonition yesterday, charged them to imbibe teachings of the lecture for their well-being and betterment of the society at large. He spoke while addressing participants at a two-day capacity-building seminar/workshop on ‘Environmental sanitation, safety, health, pollution control and waste/emission reduction strategies at workplace’.
The talk shop, organised by SAMPK Consultancy Service, was held at the Main Conference Centre, University of Ibadan, Oyo State.
In a chat with News Express, SAMPK Director of Programmes, Prince Kehinde Oniyelu, said that it is imperative for participants to ensure sanity not only in their places of work, but also in their various homes, adding: “It is a duty that must be respected and properly executed at all cost.”
He noted: “We have the main objective and passion for training manpower in the aspect of environmental cleanliness, as we believe it is very critical to health of mankind. That is why we create awareness in this respect, and it is part of the needs of the people.”
Mr Oniyelu said that the consultancy firm has recorded achievements in the areas of staff development: “Within 15 years in this journey, we have trained different organisations, including CBN and UBA. We hold this workshop every month for boards of management; union executives from nooks and crannies of the country.”
He, however, enjoined participants to always reflect on the teachings of the seminar, with a view to imparting what they have learnt to others who did not have the benefit of partaking in the programme.
