Governor Willie Obiano of Anambra on Monday paid a private visit to his Enugu State counterpart, Governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi, at the Government House, Enugu.
The meeting between the two governors which held behind closed doors lasted about one hour.
However, when they emerged from their deliberations, Obiano told newsmen that he had paid a courtesy visit on Ugwuanyi to congratulate him on his electoral victory.
“Basically, this is my first visit since he became a governor and I have come to congratulate him and say your brother is down there; if there is any challenge we need to fix we can do that together.
“We discussed areas of mutual interests such as business and agriculture. We are very happy that this has happened. We are going to be cooperating in so many areas in the days ahead.”
Obiano said that his visit had no political underpinning or any self-serving motive. (NAN)
