Kano State Coordinator of Legal Aid Council of Nigeria, Alhaji Abubakar Umar said on Sunday in Kano, that 23 cases were received in July.
Umar who spoke in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN), said the cases were made up of criminal and civil cases.
He said that of the cases received, five were criminal cases while the remaining 18 were civil cases.
According to him, ``the council has resolved three criminal cases and 15 civil cases while the remaining are still ongoing in court.
“Some of the complaints prefer alternative resolutions in resolving their cases than going to court.”
Umar also said that most of the civil cases were on inheritance, marriage, debt, and land disputes among others. (NAN)
