The leadership of the Actors Guild of Nigeria (AGN) has concluded plans to tackle the vexatious sexual harassment menace in the movie industry fondly referred to as Nollywood.
According to a notice sent out on Monday by AGN President Emeka Rollas, the
Extraordinary National Congress 2021 with the theme: Moving Nollywood to greater heights, will hold in Lagos Thursday November 18.
Matters to be looked into include sexual harassment, actors holding up productions and non payment of walk ons a k.a. waka pass.
Those expected to attend the congress are members of AGN Board of Trustees, the national exco and the 34 states chapter chairmen.
Rollas in the announcement said:
“Let’s decide on the activities of the coming year 2022. Acting year, especially as it concerns actors holding up productions, sexual harassment and non-payment of walk ons a.k.a waka pass.”
