Veteran musician and galala singer, John Odafe Asiemo, professionally known as Daddy Showkey, has been made to take up the job of load carrier (agbero in Yoruba), at London airport.

This, the 51 years old self acclaimed Ghetto Soldier and native of Olomoro Kingdom in Isoko South LGA of Delta State personally revealed during the week.

The “Diana” crooner had been on holiday in the Queen’s land for some time but travelled back to Nigeria Wednesday night.

In a video he posted on the social media after boarding the aircraft, he complained bitterly that some people had turned him into a load carrier.

He was perhaps referring to United Kingdom based Nigerians who requested him to take some luggage to their loved ones back in Nigeria.

His complaint was that, after subjecting him to carry heavy loads, he had to still pay for excess luggage at the airport.

Hear him explode in Pidgin: “Dem go beg you say make you help them carry load, carry load. You go reach here again them go say make you pay for excess luggage. Ehn? See, I don carry load all my back don dey pain me, now I still come dey pay for excess luggage. Mtcheewwww. Kponskelebe!”

Fans of the master performer who was popular in Ajegunle area of Lagos in the late 1990s howeveradvised him to stop the habit of accepting to carry loads for people to avoid being implicated in crime such as drug trafficking.

One of the fans, @axelvibe said: “Legend, avoid carrying load for people o...so you don’t get implicated for carrying drugs you know nothing about...only carry for your wife and kids or trusted siblings.”
