Ex-Governor Ibrahim Idris

Former Kogi Governor, Alhaji Ibrahim Idris, has congratulated the newly elected National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Dr Iyorchia Ayu.
In a statement he personally signed, the former Govenor commended the PDP family and their determination to retake the governance of Nigeria to ensure a virile society.
He described Dr Ayu as a symbol of political evolution, which is evidenced in the success recorded at the just concluded national convention. This he said is a pointer to the clamour by Nigerians for the return of PDP to the leadership of Nigeria.
In Dr Ayu as the PDP National Chairman, Alhaji Ibrahim Idris said that PDP will take Nigeria back to the Promised Land, in line with the expectations of ordinary citizens.
The former Governor maintained that the new PDP Chairman was a tested and a trusted personality whose experience both in government and lawmaking will assist greatly in the management of the most grassroots political party in West Africa.
He urged PDP members to maintain the already existing harmony at all levels to salvage Nigeria from further sliding into economic backwardness.
