IGP warns against attacks on police stations and formations

The Inspector-General of Police, IGP Solomon E. Arase, has warned the public of the unsavoury implications of attacking police stations and formations.

Force Public Relations Officer, CP Emmanuel C. S. Ojukwu, disclosed this yesterday in Abuja.

“An attack on a Police Station is a criminal offence, and any person(s) involve in such act/action would be made to face the full wrath of the law,” Ojukwu said in a statement.

“The IGP has directed all field commanders to secure their stations and formations and to use every reasonable force permitted by law to protect our common heritage.

“Members of the public are advised to explore available and appropriate channels to ventilate their grievances,” he said.
