Fireboy sets Zambia on fire at Independence

Popular singer and songwriter, Fireboy DML

On Sunday October 24, Zambia celebrated her 57th Independence Day.

Nigeria’s firebrand singer, Adedamola Adefolahan, known professionally as Fireboy DML, was formerly invited to add glamour, glitz and razzmatazz to the national event of the former Northern Rhodesia.

And he literally set the late Kenneth Kaunda’s country on fire.

A live video on social media showed the 25 years old Ogun State-born Afrobeats and R&B crooner in full command of the ecstatic Zambian crowd.

Music lovers in their thousands who thronged the open venue of the night’s show were yelling and dancing as the energetic performer who describes his sound as “Afro-Life” kept dishing out his hit songs including his chartbuster “Peru”.

This was accompanied by his super stagecraft.
