The Nigeria Police Forum at the Metropolitan Police in the United Kingdom has activated partnership ties with the Nigeria Police Force.
A delegation of the Nigeria Police Forum, an association made up of Nigerians serving in British Metropolitan Police, is in the country to fashion out ways to support their father land. The group paid a courtesy visit to the Nigeria Police Headquarters in Abuja yesterday.
Also in attendance during the meeting were Mr. Robert Hunter (Police Adviser, British High Commission), Mr Tom Outwaite (Police Adviser, British Commission Abuja), and Mrs Matagrawa Nurata from the Ministry of Police Affairs in Abuja.
The Inspector General of Police, IGP Solomon Arase, in his remarks stated that the visit is a fall-out of an earlier trip to the Metropolitan Police in UK. He promised to create an enabling environment for fusion of ideas with the group to advance the intelligence and technological base of the Nigeria Police.
