Musician and singer, Oluseun Anikulapo Kuti, commonly known as Seun Kuti, is bitter with some new generation artistes who try everyday to compare themselves with his father, Afrobeats king, Fela Kuti of blessed memory.

The 38 years old father of Ifafunmike Adara Anikulapo-Kuti, a seven-year old daughter from his girlfriend, Yetunde George Ademiluyi, says all those artistes are only immitators and can never be like his father musically and psychologically.

The youngest son of the famous afrobeat pioneer who leads his father's former band Egypt 80 has this to say;
“You can't be greater than that which you take from or steal from. Until Fela comes back from the dead and steals some of your faves music or uses their lyrics the ways they steal his lyrics and music, your comparison is null and void. Baba ni dads nje!”

Talking directly to young artistes of today who claim to play Fela's kind of music (Afrobeats) but at the same time are deep into crimes he said:

“I have warned many of u, many times to stop using your ancestors as tooth pick, especially those that fought for u but your ignorance just won’t let u be so you can’t learn and that’s why you keep living a cursed life of criminality without direction, infatuation without love, present without future, and pleasure without control. You are cursed to be indisciplined and you think you are having fun. These kids don’t know!!! #getthesax.”
